Individuals, couples, groups and families: no matter what you’re looking for, we have a volunteer opportunity waiting for you.

The people we serve are largely the indigenous Chortí Maya, descendants of the great Maya city-state of Copán. Many of the families we work with live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $1.25 a day with little access to healthcare.

What's involved with a volunteer trip - Honduras - Paramedics for Children

Ready to sign up for a volunteer adventure? Fill out the application form below or email our founder Rodger Harrison, who runs all our programs in Honduras!

Most days, we get up early, have a group breakfast, load up equipment and supplies, and our education volunteers will head out to the villages for school supply delivery while our medical volunteers get started at the onsite clinic. Around noon, we all meet back up at the Hacienda for a homemade lunch.

You’ll have afternoons free to explore the sights and attractions of Copán Ruinas—you can check out the archeological sites and museums, tour the tropical bird park, or shop for the perfect souvenir to take home.

In the evening, you’ll head back to the Hacienda for dinner, plan for the next day, and get to know your fellow volunteers and the Paramedics for Children team.

Your program fee is used 100% to keep our clinic operational and to purchase and deliver school supplies to classrooms. All volunteers pay $85 USD per day, which covers accommodation at Hacienda la Esperanza, three meals per day, and project-related transportation and gear. This does NOT cover travel costs, personal expenses, or additional meals and entertainment.

Your volunteer experience with us may be 100% tax deductible: Paramedics For Children is a 501c3 nonprofit organization (ID # 56-2142951).

If you sign up as a super supporter today we will give you a 100% credit on your annual donation towards the cost of staying with us as a volunteer. For example – our daily cost at this time for our donation program is $85 USD per day, and this includes your room and three meals per day.

Let’s say you become a super supporter and start donation of $85 USD per month (by the way you can do less or more!). If you paid in $85 USD per month not only would you be a member of our team of donors, but you also would be earning one day of stay with us equal to the exact amount you donated per month.

Here is the math. Let’s say you want to stay at the Hacienda La Esperanza free for 7 nights, in 2021, and you make a donation of $85.00 USD per month as a super supporter. After 7 months of giving $85 USD per month you would have a volunteer credit of $595.00 USD which equals to 7 days free stay at the Hacienda!

That is all there is to it. It is a simple program and a way that you can make your donation your vacation. It is a great way to have an adventure of a lifetime and do a lot of good for others in the process.

Hit the special link below and craft the donation/vacation to any amount you want.
